Cheaply made, didn't last 2 months

I bought this 2 months ago for my personal golf course at home. In just 2 months, the flag burned out in the sun and the ropes attaching it to a pole broke. I live in San Diego California. Where it's not too hot and not too cold and we have great weather 360 days a year. So it's not like I left it in bad weather or the Death Valley heat. Very cheap stuff. If I had known it was made so cheaply I would never have bought it.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Update Availability

This product description says the pole parts "interlock" which is a complete lie. The pieces only taper (slightly narrower) but then connect together so incredibly loosely that the wiggling doesn't even make them form a straight bar. Then as soon as you try to lift it out of the cup, the part you're holding just detaches, leaving the bottom parts in the cup. Left out for a week and the cheap nylon flag is completely torn at the end of the flag and spreading everywhere. To return

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Something different

More of a cheap novelty than a real flagpole

Not what I was looking for at all. I wanted a solid flagpole and cup on my putting green to display the Masters flag. This flagpole and mugs are brand new and cannot be left outside forever. The flag is thin and may bend at the first strong wind. The three pieces fall apart when you pick them up - there's no mechanism to put them together (hence the "portable" nature of this flag). There is no spike at the bottom of the stick, just a conical plastic plug that goes through the plastic cup andโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No cannon
