So far so good. I'll update once I use it. Bought both styles, read the review about rust. Since you're in the Midwest, you'll see I don't plan on leaving it on the truck 24/7.

I've been using it for a few months and it's holding up great apart from some rust on the stitching. Most of the chrome has worn off, but that's to be expected. The hook also came in handy several times, pulling 3-4 thousand pounds.

Using a standard 2 inch ball hitch, I had my truck's tailgate installed. Not so much now that it's installed. , it has all three balls and a large hook so you don't have to carry different sized receivers.

I've only used it once. I used a 2 inch ball to pull a 6x4 harrow with 4 wheels on top. I don't know how much towing capacity he had, but probably less than 1000 pounds. It worked great, no problem. I like to have options available for which hitch/hook I need. Should last for many years as I keep it dry and protected from the rain.

As another reviewer mentioned, I think this is a good self defense tool for tailgaters, especially since I just replaced my tear bumper. Good price and cheaper than Walmart. Got rid of the hitch. I have multiple followers. 2 boat trailers and a 4 wheel trailer are 2 inches, but the travel trailer is of course 2 5/16 inches. This part fills the bill. You never know when a tow hook will come in handy. Works great. The rating is higher than anything I need to tow even when towing a camper trailer and 4 wheel trailer in tandem. Happy with this purchase.

If you have several pendants with balls of different sizes, then this is definitely a must have. You no longer need to keep 2 or 3 receivers in the car. Pull the pin, fold to size and you're done. Very handy when you need to borrow a trailer and don't know the balloon size. I love the hook too! The only downside and reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the hose has to be made out of a stronger/thicker material.
