Programming instructions were not included but the key is of very good quality. My only complaint is that they advertise that it is one of the smart keys when it is not. Model key that you need to put in the slot.

Use the search engine to find the "Prius Chicken Dance" for instructions on how to sync this key to your car's ignition and doors. Two separate settings are required (one for doors and one for ignition). The time on each is critical! Very easy to do and the key works great.

"Chicken Dance" didn't work so I had to ask the retailer to program this keychain at extortionate prices. Now the key fob works fine, but to get it working it costs a couple hundred more than it should have. I tried going to a locksmith and they figured this was only possible through an authorized dealer.

This key saved lives. I lost my Prius key and needed an inexpensive replacement. I searched the internet for "Chicken Dance" and found instructions on how to program the button. After 2 attempts I was able to successfully program the key to unlock/lock the doors and start the car. I'm glad I didn't have to pay the dealer to change the key. It is important to have at least one working key in order for a new key to be programmed.

The key fob itself is of a very high quality. Programming is a pain in the ass. It's almost ridiculous how many steps you have to walk. You insert the key fob, pull out the key fob, insert the key fob and shake it. You sniff and turn and if you're lucky it works. In fact, once you gain experience it can definitely be done. You have the satisfaction of being successful and not being scammed by a Toyota dealer.
