The winch worked great for me, I used it to pull 3/8" nylon line (not on a boat). If the drawstring wasn't completely straight, it would flip over a bit awkwardly.

Very good winch, the only thing that bothers me is that the strap is very thin. I ordered a Rhino belt and replaced it before anything bad happened, but that adds $20 to the winch price. In general a good product if not for the strap.

Mechanically it's solid, I like the bi-directional ratchet. Good slots for installation too. I would raise the rating to 5 stars but not sure if the included harness is really rated at 1200lbs, it's really flimsy as another reviewer said "thin seatbelt".

Great value for money with looks and durability. When I pulled out my 17 foot perch boat, it struggled as it reached the end and slipped intermittently. Maybe just one session, it didn't happen every time. Worth a try for the money and even with the occasional slip up it still worked well for what I needed.

This is a quality winch designed to pull a small two seater fishing boat out of the water onto land. It replaced a cheaper, heavy-duty HF winch, but the teeth on it didn't engage properly under load and it jammed. I had to send this back to HF for a refund. This worked flawlessly with the same setup.

I bought a pair of these to replace the old crappy winches on my jet ski trailer. They were easy to install, looked great and had a mechanism for easily winching jet skis. trailer position. The only issue I had was that the hook attached to the belt was too thick to fit through the built in metal loops on the front of the jet ski so it took a bit of work with an angle grinder to fix otherwise a great buy.

Very good product! I made the mistake of just trying to replace the strap on my old one. Definitely not worth your time! It's better to buy just one of these and not bother attaching a strap or sewing on a new strap. If you are buying this for a boat it will work well for my 14 foot aluminum V hull with a 127 pound outboard. In addition, it is quite heavily loaded with flooring and housing for bass boats. I replaced the original winch on my boat trailer with this one. Used once and removed - see photos. I had to stop at least 6 times to tighten the winch, the belt must have stretched. Strange since I replaced the strap on my original winch and never had to tighten it.
