Description of Enhanced Universal AC Voltage Regulator - Trail Tech 7003-AC01

Improved Universal AC Voltage Regulator with Adjustable Output Universal AC Voltage Regulator limits voltage to 12.0-16.0 volts for AC systems. Conditions circuit to eliminate electrical spikes, protect from lamp blow-outs, and reduce flicker and dimming. "Dial-a-Brightness" allow you to adjust light output at the cost of lamp life for halogen and quartz lights. At 14+ VAC setting, the lamps will approach HID lumens (70 percent) but lamp life is short (good for racing); 25 hour lamp life.

Excellent regulator

Excellent product - Highly recommended - Worked on my 1985 XR350R - Adjusted AC flow to prevent head and tail light bulb burn out -

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Safety

Works on 1995 XR600R

Bike actually starts better! probably because the previous owner took it off so it disappeared from the bike. I installed it and ran it in 3 tries! the light goes on and on!

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Some cons

Seems to work great

Installed on my 04 XR250R and seems to do the job. I had an issue where the voltage would spike and kill all new LEDs, but this thing seems to regulate it just fine. A very small unit connected to the main stator wires.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Not bad

Efficient AC control with sensible control

Efficient AC control as claimed. I used it along with the Trail Tech Lighting Stator on my CRF450R. The current is not rectified into direct current. Only regulates from 9V to 18V if I remember correctly.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Working speed

cheap, fast and high quality

Works great, only costs the OEM part. To adapt the plug-in, cut the 2-wire connector off the old defective regulator and solder/shrink it onto it. Plug in and go. Just make sure the polarity is correct. This is a great deal at $20 as OEM regulators from Kawasaki and others often cost upwards of $140.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Updates available

Excellent product in a compact package

I use this on my Predator bike to stop the LEDs from blinking. Hookup is easy, customer service is great, voltage selection couldn't be easier. control output voltage. The best hit for the dollar is hands down.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • No
