Works, reliable, costs 64GB but isn't fast

This drive works like clockwork and it's great to have 64GB on hand. I use it to transfer large amounts of data from one computer to another or as backup storage on my Ultrabook, which only has a 128GB SSD and sometimes fills up when traveling. The only problem with this drive is that the write speed is very slow (7MB/s). I didn't consider that when I bought it and probably would have gone for another USB drive with faster write speeds (which also costs more). For example, some 64GB USB sticks…

Good place at 50 cents per GB, but not the fastest

Packaging - non-irritating so will be shipped in a standard thick envelope. The disk just bounces around inside, but it's a fixed state so it should be fine. The only worries are the mechanical parts, like the retractable USB connector and the plastic case that houses it. The price is a good price of 50 cents/GB. The capacity is good at 64GB. s (sometimes even 15 MB/s is reached!), which is quite decent. I just resynced my Linux files and 7.5MB/s isn't too bad. I have 50GB of data in . The…

Transcend 16GB JetFlash 500 - I bought it for Xbox 360

I ordered this USB drive to backup my saved games on Xbox 360 to any USB port the console. I typically plug the Transcend into one of the controller ports on the front of the console. Then go to the Xbox 360 System Preferences and just go to the "Storage" section. All active hard drives should be listed there, including the Transcend USB stick (if it's already connected to one of the console's ports). from your Xbox hard drive to a USB stick. You can also copy game data, pictures, and video…

Looks the same as the Sandisk Cruzer Micro but is MUCH FASTER

I bought a Transcend JetFlash 500 Retractable 16GB Flash Drive in September 2010. It is attached to my desktop PC as secondary storage most of the time. Only remove it occasionally to transfer files. So far everything has been working great for 1.5 years. It should be noted that I've used at least half a dozen USB sticks and 20+ flash memory cards over the past decade and none of them have ever let me down. So maybe I'm just more careful with semiconductor devices (I always discharge myself…
