Inexpensive card reader

This is a relatively inexpensive and lightweight plastic card reader. I like its compact size and portability. Make for the entire width so it sticks out. You have to be careful with it because if it hits hard it can damage the USB port on your computer. I prefer devices with a short USB cable. Alternatively, you can plug it into a hub or extension cord if that bothers you. Otherwise it works quite well. 4 stars.

Convenient SD reader for USB-A, Micro-USB or USB-C, but slower with USB-C.

I was able to read the SD card from my camera at relatively high speed through the USB-A port or the full-size USB-C port on this device. The ability to connect to full-size USB-A, Micro-USB, or USB-C ports makes this reader very versatile and can work well with both old and new computers. However, I ran into an odd bug, which is why I gave the product 4 stars instead of 5: my transfer speed from the same SD card to the same computer was half as fast with a USB-C port as it was with a…
