Expensive but very well made.

Tripp Lite is a great product. This was no exception. I needed an extension cord that would fit in a rack. It didn't have a lot of frills other than a long and heavy cord (which I really needed). IT costs as much as some surge protection products or a few switches and more outlets. I had to choose one quickly, so I settled on what I knew would work, Tripp Lite.

Pros
  • Power Strips and Surge Protectors
Cons
  • Periodicity

some cage nuts would be nice

Not much can be said about the surge protector - it rack mounts, distributes power and protects the line (on the load side of the UPS in my case). However, considering their cost, rackmount hardware would be nice. I had to rummage through my junk drawer for cage nuts and machine screws. Luckily I had enough unused rack hardware to disassemble and install surge protectors.

Pros
  • Accessories and consumables
Cons
  • boring packaging

Feels solid but cord is too long

After I bought it I didn't really understand why it had a 15ft cord. I couldn't find a reputable brand that is shorter. I played it safe and went with this one because Tripp Lite is a great brand for build quality and safety. However, I disagree with how expensive it is and would really like to see a different cable length offered. 15 inches seems excessive when most of them are connected directly to the UPS, only 1U below or above.

Pros
  • Power strips
Cons
  • Hard to remember but it was
