So far it has had no problem, my .

So far he has had no problem keeping my system running during brief power outages. Weighs every bit of the listed 29 lbs. The software contained bugs, but downloading the latest version fixed the freezing problem on my OS (Win 7).

Pros
  • Positive only
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Works as advertised

I've long been a fan of Tripplite UPSs because they have an automatic voltage regulator circuit to combat the brown current problems we often encounter in our office. This unit is a replacement for an old Tripplite unit we had that has held up about 5 years of constant use on our file server - pretty well in my opinion.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Poorly designed

Excellent unit on an uninterruptible power supply (UPS)

I bought this UPS for use with a computer system with a capacity greater than 1500 watts. It was chosen primarily because 1) it's a tripp-lite and 2) it doesn't have a fan and therefore doesn't make any noise. I've had bad experiences with other brands of UPS, but now I only use Tripp Lite power supplies and know that they are reliable and do the job. Note that this device weighs over 50 pounds. It took quite a bit of grumbling to install.

  • great product

works fine

First, the included power management software doesn't work on OS X. Is it really that hard? No, it's lazy. Also, after turning on the device for more than 24 hours, the device did not immediately switch to battery when the device was turned off. There were electrical problems in my area. After the 2nd or 3rd failed switch I called Tripp Lite tech support. They were very easy to contact (on a relative scale). We have dealt with the topic. After several falls, it switched properly once. We…

Great replacement for APC SmartUPs 1500va

Also replaced APC SmartUPs 1500 with this one. The price is a little cheaper and the box is a little lighter. No complaints about this backup in terms of server backup power. Switches to battery with no problems. Same backup time as APC. I've had issues with the APC SMT1500 where the local utility fluctuated too much, the APC would restart or shut down. APC had us reconfigure the device to be less sensitive, and then it worked. Only 2 complaints about Tripp Lite: 1) It doesn't have an on-screen

  • Nice to use

Tripp Lite UPS

Two of these were purchased from Revain in the same order and the boxes arrived a few days apart. When they arrived the boxes were almost torn to shreds during the shipping process due to the apparent mishandling and the weight of these items. After we had examined the devices ourselves for visible damage (there was nothing there apart from the boxes), we removed them and put them into operation. A day later, both units failed. One fan ran constantly, even with no load connected, and the other…
