👕 Winter Combat Shirt X-Large by Tru Spec Review

Excellent quality. At 6ft 6in and 240lbs, the 2XL Long fits me almost perfectly. Sleeve length, body length and a little freedom of movement inside.

I love the style of this shirt and it matches my OD Green BDU pants that I ordered. The only downside is that the shirt doesn't fit like a regular 3XL shirt, the material that covers the chest area is a bit stretchy and the shape fits your body. Plus for layering on top but not underneath, which for me loses its purpose. But besides the fact that this shirt is great, for the winter you will most likely need to order a green OD BDU jacket.

I have two of them, forest and multi-chamber; both were great deals. Both match in color and pattern. I love these in winter. Very warm but functional. I don't have to wear crazy layers and can stay out for hours in winter in the northeast weather. I have recommended this to many colleagues.

For my reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it fits snugly around the arms and armpits. Much tighter than the thinner Combat Shirt. And a little shorter on the arms. I'm 6ft 5,220lbs so it's a bit difficult for me to find long sleeve shirts that fit me. Very comfortable and very soft, I must have the winter. I no longer have to wear a PNW coat to work on those cold winter nights.

The Tru Spec Winter Combat Shirt is exactly what you need, so comfortable and warm with a solid construction I would recommend this shirt to anyone in the winter.

The right sleeve is not symmetrical to the left. Rubs my wrist in different ways and lays on my right wrist in different ways. That gets annoying over time.

Quality is as expected from actual specs, body material is warm under body armor but struggles to retain heat in windy conditions. The sleeves have a rugged look and are lined with visible body material, and the sleeves retain heat better in windy conditions. The sleeves become very bulky when they are rolled up. As expected in form, function and performance.

Very high quality material. Definitely military quality. I'm 6ft 3in, 238lbs, broad shoulders and a large chest and it still fits perfectly. My mobility is not limited and it's a very relaxed landing with room for thermals.

I just received it in the mail and while this is not a "review" I can speak on my first impressions. The fleece feels thick and warm, while the sleeves feel durable and useful. I'm 6ft 2in, have a muscular build of about 225 and the longer length gives an athletic fit without feeling too tight. The arms can be a little long, but that doesn't bother me. I ordered Woodland Digital and Khaki and opted for 2 day delivery. As soon as they arrived I tried them on to see if they fit. Fits perfectly. Washed/dried and checked again. No problem. It's been a chilly few days, so I had the opportunity to put on a khaki combat shirt. The form/function is outstanding. Enough velcro on the sleeves for a perfect fit/closure. I work in a factory in a hospital. Work indoors and outdoors. In boiler rooms, chillers, hospitals, control panels, generator rooms. You don't sweat as much and don't freeze as much as in normal uniform shirts. Rough and presentable. For my working environment

Between my Rothco and Tru-Spec combat shirts, I've always preferred the quality and attention to detail that Tru-Spec offered, but this shirt takes it to the next level. This is probably the most comfortable shirt I own. I wore it in 40 degree heat with a thin t-shirt and didn't complain about the cold.

High quality. difficult conditions. Great fit with plenty of freedom of movement without feeling bulky. It's comfortable and durable. Great garment/gear. At 195 pounds and 5ft 11in (195 pounds and 5ft 11in), the (too long) fit bothered me. It fits perfectly but no compression. The extra length discreetly covers a concealed firearm mount and double magazine. no camouflaged colors, no shouting MILITARY in inconspicuous situations. Sufficient size for layering - both bottom and top. Warm but not too warm. I am planning to purchase a similar item in khaki. Highly recommended.

I cannot praise this theme enough. Well cut, fully lined, durable yet lightweight, soft and very comfortable to wear. I like the location of the pockets and especially the pen pocket on the sleeve. As mentioned in another review, for the options I choose, I would go with wearing it like you would when cooking if you engage in an overly strenuous activity like walking in the bush with your full equipment. I saw that it was mentioned that the color didn't match the actual product so I made the change. That's right, what looks white is actually a much darker tan color. The Multicam fits my Crye Precision pants almost perfectly, maybe a little lighter. I bought it for archery season, nice and warm, lots of pockets and good fit. Not baggy at all. Haven't worn it often but so far so good.

I rate this as very good quality and stitching. This is the shirt I would wear on a winter night without a snow fight if I ever wore one. I have an XL digital midnight (good band name or something) and it was $16 so it was impossible to go wrong. The materials feel sturdy and the long version is great because I'm 6ft 5in tall. I have many combat shirts, from collarless to 1/4 and full as well. Of course, a full collar from Crye Precision couldn't be better, but this one from Tru-Spec really lives up to its reputation as one of my favorites. It fits like a typical combat shirt, but the woven material of their torso, which is thicker than a regular, i.e. winter shirt, continues under the ripstop sections on their arms. Love this product, very durable, good value for money and comfortable. It can be a bit tight but overall it fits as expected. Get lots of compliments when you wear this jacket.
