Two thumbs up for this great set!

Rating from an eleven year old girl: I got this for Christmas, never heard of firewood before. As a beginner, this TRUArt pyrography kit was fun and easy to use. I've made many fun projects with him including a sign for our school garden and gifts for friends. I mostly just use the universal tip because it's great for almost anything, but it's fun to have other options as well. I look forward to continuing to learn more about pyrography and making cool stuff!

Excellent value for money, ideal for beginners.

The only downside to this set is that they are hard points and don't allow temperature control for darker and lighter burns. It allows all or medium. As a beginner I wasn't sure if I should start with wire tips and now I'm a bit disappointed I didn't. But I think this set (especially since it comes with an extra pen) is just what I need to get started and learn. Based on that, I'd give it a five-star rating, minus one star for the lack of temperature control.

Good Basic Burner

I have two problems with this burner. It's hard to hold while burning because you can't hold it like a pen. The pen does not fit close enough to the tip. And the heating mode does not change. There are only two settings: a little hot and very hot. Of course, you'll have to pay a bit more to get any of the above. So let's look at what it is, not what it isn't. This is an easy wood burning pen for beginners. Low settings can slow you down when burning - probably a big plus for beginners. At highโ€ฆ
