Really handy right out of the box!

He loves his new sneakers! My 11 year old son complained of heel pain after wearing another well known brand of running shoes. Since I also had heel pain from conventional sneakers, which disappeared after switching to zero-fall barefoot shoes, I decided to look for something similar for that. As it turns out, very few companies produce this style for kids. His review: They are very comfortable right from the start. At first I felt like the zero fall would make me fall backwards, but I quickly…

Pros
  • The shoes appear to be of good quality and look very nice. The fit is good. Comfortable. Easy to put on and take off.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for children with narrow feet.

I love these, the size is much smaller

According to my son, these shoes are easy to put on and very comfortable. He likes their style and thinks they make him run faster. One thing to note is that these shoes are true to size. I was warned about this by reviews on another site so I bought him a size 3.5 when he was wearing 4.5 in other shoes and they were so big he complained about tripping over them. We had to wait until it was a size 5.5 in Nike sneakers before a size 3.5 fit reasonably in this shoe. However, he loves them so much

Pros
  • Very well made, my son wears them every day.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for children with foot problems such as flat feet or overpronation.

Excellent sneakers, the best in my rating

My 6 year old son gave me these shoes last year, when they were worn out I bought them here at Revain and he loves them. He loves his sneakers!

Pros
  • The machine washable design makes cleaning easy
Cons
  • Shoes may not be flexible enough for some children.

Great shoes. But the size doesn't fit.

Until now. So good. Appears to be well built. The only problem is they don't fit. They run big. If your child is a size 4, take a 3.5. We'll see how they hold up.

Pros
  • Non-slip, non-marking outsole for safety when running or playing.
Cons
  • The wide toe may not be suitable for children with narrow toes.

Great for wide feet!

There are not many options for children with wide feet. Most sneakers say they are for wide feet, but in reality they are not. The owner of the local shoe store sells this brand and told me how good they are for kids with wide feet and she was right. My child is also autistic so velcro is a bonus!

Pros
  • It's so comfortable for my son, definitely his favorite shoe.
Cons
  • May not provide adequate arch support for some children

WAAAAY TOO BIG! in my opinion

The size is far from it. Look at the photos. The sizing chart is nowhere near true to actual size, although it clearly says 3.5, but their sizing chart lists a 5.

Pros
  • Lightweight design for all-day comfort
Cons
  • The size may not fit other brands.

I love Tsukihoshi in my review

My son loves his new Tsukihoshi shoes. They fit well and are generous in the toe box. He is very happy to put them on as soon as school starts. We've had makos in a different color before and we know they last the whole school year and are washable.

Pros
  • Very fun shoe and perfect for a narrow foot.
Cons
  • I'm sending the shoes back. They are too big for my son.

I will only buy tsukihoshi shoes for my daughter.

Tsukihoshi shoes are honestly the best. I started buying them when my daughter was four (now nine) and they never fail to show how much better they are than other shoes. She is NOT gentle with them, she constantly runs in them on the road through the woods, and they still hold on. I even had to wash them once because they got too dirty and they looked brand new. I once made the mistake of buying another brand (Sketchers) because they caught fire and she thought they looked really cool, but they

Pros
  • My son loves these shoes! Such fun colors. They fit as expected and my son says they are comfortable.
Cons
  • The green-green color may not appeal to all children.

Mileage is HUGE, not as durable as I was hoping.

They are VERY big - my son usually wears a size 3.5 and the 1.5 fits him perfectly. I had high hopes for them as an alternative to Plae shoes but they started falling apart in less than 8 weeks of purchase. I have a very active child and Plae shoes are the ONLY shoes we have found that can handle the exertion. They are too expensive to replace as often as necessary.

Pros
  • Provides excellent support for growing feet and proper alignment
Cons
  • Shoes may not provide adequate cushioning for some children.

Great shoe but short lived

I like this shoe because it's almost barefoot - flexible sole and very little extra padding in the insole. They are also very attractive, breathable, machine washable and have velcro closure for easy on and off. Unfortunately, they are also very expensive and do not last long. My son puts them on before he outgrows them (see photo - this is after about 9 months of use).

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

I only buy Tsukihoshi shoes for my son because they are amazing!

I have tried other brands of shoes but now I only buy Tsukihoshi shoes. They are amazing! they are wide. You have a great sock so my son's fingers are clenched. They are durable! (Shoes from other famous brands literally fall apart on his feet.) He's so good at walking, climbing and jumping in them. I know they are a bit more expensive than other brands but they are worth it. That's why I only buy him 1 pair of shoes per season. That's all he needs! It's awesome! Thank you Tsukihoshi!

Pros
  • 1 year trial
Cons
  • Available in white only

Two sizes bigger! The size is smaller!

These shoes come in two large sizes. My son's foot size is a size 4 for a tall kid (which is also the size of his other pair of tennis shoes). I started with a size 4 and it was GIANT. I ordered 1 size smaller and it's still too big. Then I ordered another size (size 2) and it fit, but the tip was too tight. What this seller doesn't disclose is that they charge $4.98 for each return, so I'm now spending $15 to return 3 boxes of shoes that don't fit. I originally bought these shoes because they…

Pros
  • Durable test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
