Nice boots but run big

These are really good boots. My only complaint is that they have a really large calf area. I measured my calves according to the TuffRiders sizing chat and my calves are 14.5 inches which is normal so I ordered a size 8 regular width. When I tried them on, even in jodhpurs and socks, they were loose in the calf area. But I will keep them for daily riding and later buy some more TuffRiders in a different style to show off :) Great quality for the price.

Very comfortable for women

I was looking for comfortable and affordable study boots and was lucky enough to find them at a great price at Revain's warehouse. I rode and ran in them today and they were 100% comfortable straight away, no breaking in required. I agree with other reviews that calves get big so the calf size is smaller - I always wear normal calves in Ariat tall boots and they fit me perfectly in thin calves. The leg is true to size. The leather is soft and grippy and the boots look good.

The boot has nice lines, a classic look and one day I tried it.

So. I'm not giving these 5 stars just because I haven't ridden them yet (just got them yesterday). As soon as I unpacked it, I was amazed to feel how soft the "skinโ€ actually is. Now I don't think it's 100% leather. but if so, it's a very thin cut of the skin, so I'm a little worried about it wearing off. In any case they are soft, the boots have nice lines, a classic look and when I tried them on I was surprised how much room they had. Now the calf and ankle area is a little larger but withโ€ฆ

Fantastic out of the box and boot. Size 9.5 is better for 9 and fits me

I like these boots. Got them as an emergency when my TuffRider Piaf boots arrived and I couldn't zip them up. They showed up on a Tuesday, I went to the show on Friday afternoon and guaranteed delivery. These boots literally walked down the street, were thrown in a trailer and ridden for 4 hours before I could try them on. They came out of the box in perfect condition, came up to the leg and snapped shut. The next day, in the second class, I walked down the halfway line with a young colt andโ€ฆ

Extra large calf

I bought these boots as a spare pair for home riding to prolong the life of my show boots. They definitely look like Parlanti boots and this is the first fake from the brand I've seen, but the materials are a bit cheap (although it's real leather). However, these boots look luxurious and are excellent for the price EXCEPT the shin size is too big (I'm 5ft 8", 145lbs and shin size is 14.5). I ordered Slim and they are so loose that I can bring my whole arm outside with a full zip. I am goingโ€ฆ

The fit and softness is on par with my $900 custom boots

Recently I was at a hardware store looking for half edging. I passed a shoe display, touched a pair of Tuffrider boots and was surprised at how soft they were. So I put them on without expecting them to fit like a glove or be a Tuffrider brand. I have a wide calf and small ankles, so I never have a perfect ankle fit. (the ones in the gear store were field boots) I put them on and it felt like they really were made for me. I'm 5ft 2in and about 160lbs. The height was perfect to shed some weightโ€ฆ
