These are great needles!

Several people told me these were the only needles they would use so I ended up accepting the price and ordering a few. Now I'm converted! I've used John James needles in the past which I thought were fine. In comparison, however, the Tulip needle is much less fragile (but still more flexible) and easier to thread (I use a size 11). The best part is that they last a lot longer; they don't bend or break easily.

Pros
  • Made in Japan by Tulip
Cons
  • Doubtful

Doesn't live up to the reputation.

I used to like this needle. In this order I broke 2 needles where the thread is. This is unusual for a tulip. I will try again. They are too expensive to break for me. 2 needles were used for delica beadwork and maybe 3 projects. I love the strength of this particular needle. It's flexible but not overly so. The reputation of this needle is very high. I fell down a step.

Pros
  • 1 pack of 4 needles
Cons
  • I will write later

Easier to thread, strong, durable, fits most bead sizes.

I am a beadworker and have used all brands of beading needles and these are my favorites. They cost a little more but last longer. They are durable, with a maximum threading hole size to match the needle size, making threading easier, which is a huge plus for those aging eyes. I have found that I can use a size 10 for most beads and when I need to make multiple passes through size 15 beads I use size 11 needles. Convenient, stands next to the earring of a typical project.

Pros
  • Intended Use: Beadwork
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
