Much better than the standard brush that comes with the cartridge. When viewed under magnification, the pen looks cleaner.

This brush replaces the last ones. The bristles are short and densely packed. And the dust from the pen gathers perfectly. The handle is hollow and weightless. But that's an aesthetic complaint. I have a small bottle of ethanol that I sometimes use to dampen my bristles. Wet or dry seems to work equally well.

When people say it's tiny, they mean it. It's only a few inches long, but it does exactly what it's supposed to do and does it well. If I don't clean the record before playing, my stylus hisses or pops from time to time, so I pull out this brush and make a few passes over the stylus and it works like magic. Even the cleanest record can sound dirty if you don't have it. I haven't compared it to gel cleansers but I see no need to pay more when it works perfectly.
