Failed after 6 months of use

Unfortunately this fan started to die after about 6 months of use. However, while he was working, he was a decent performer. and I've been running it for over 4 hours a day at 75100% fan speed so it's not an easy situation. Replaced with a cheap TOPAZ unit that works better than ever and is quieter. I installed a clean cabin air filter at the same time as this fan, and the fan came out clean and technically still works, but it chirps a bit. and starts to slow down badly after a full day of…

Pros
  • New (not reconditioned), special motor for maximum thermal efficiency
Cons
  • Large and bulky

Heating is worthwhile

So far so good. I installed this fan in my 2004 Volvo V70. By doing it myself I saved several hundred dollars over what the dealer listed. (Part $436 - labor $200). Works perfectly, didn't notice any difference with the drain. Installation was difficult due to limited space. I spent a considerable amount of time curling my head under the dash and resting my feet on the reclining passenger seat backrest. It is necessary to remove the control box from the old fan assembly, but this is not…

Pros
  • OE comparable assembly, complete with motor and fan (wheel) to save installation time and costs
Cons
  • A few little things

Perfect fit for my 2006 Volvo XC90

Perfect replacement for my 2006 Volvo XC90 fan motor. It turned out that my problem was actually only the resistor (which I fortunately bought at the same time). Since I already had the whole disassembler, I went ahead and replaced the motor (the original motor was 14 years old) with a new resistor. Note. One of the screws on the plastic case/fan motor mount is not accessible unless you remove the dash (it's a hidden fifth screw) which I had to break to save hours of extra work (and don't…

Pros
  • Fan (wheel) pre balanced with motor for perfect fit and performance
Cons
  • Faulty

2004 Volvo XC90 2.5T

Bought this motor to replace the cooling fan on my 2004 Volvo XC90 2.5T. The dealer offered over $600 for a replacement and twice that if they had to remove the dashboard to get to the fan, which is absolutely unnecessary. It took me about an hour to replace this myself, but you'll have to snap off one of the mounting tabs that sits on the firewall and can't be reached without removing the dash. Even if the fastening strap is broken, the blower housing seals well when screwed on. Went ahead and
