Sorry I misjudged this product thinking it was a different item that I purchased due to the image being blurry when looking at it. This particular item was disappointing as it wasn't very durable once I assembled it which was easy enough. It will definitely be too wobbly when stretched to its full length, especially for heavier shoes or athletic shoes. I would not recommend this one.

Small grooves don't fit properly. Some bars fit easily into their grooves, while others required tapping with a hammer to get into the grooves. It took MUCH longer and was MUCH harder to put together than it should have been! In the end I assembled it and it will work (I think). But I would not buy this brand again if there are better quality shoe racks.

It didn't take long to assemble, but the parts just don't fit! It's pretty annoying. As you can see from the photo, it serves the purpose I wanted. I really like that the length is adjustable. But if it weren't in a cabinet supported by walls on all three sides, I don't think it would be solid. "Parts DO NOT fit" - I saw those reviews and thought - maybe they were unlucky with different batches of goods, but if it happens to me there's a 100% chance. Bought 2 sliding shelves for shoes. I got silver. It looks smooth. I put one by the entrance to my back door and the other in my closet. I love how it expands so I can adjust it to any length I want. It's also sooooo easy to put together and I enjoyed every detail of it. I love how the bars can sag slightly. I was able to put all my shoes in it as it has 2 tiers.
