Excellent product, the best quality.

A private house, the Internet through ADSL got with its constant "lag" and "lying" the speed over the telephone wire made it possible to open the port by a maximum of 5 mb. (700) the nearest high-rise building with optics is 12022 km (according to maps). I read a lot of forums and comments when choosing between a TP link and Nanostation Loco M5, the choice fell on the latter due to good reviews (many complain about the TP link software hanging) Two antennas were ordered (4990), initially set up

Reliable purchase, guaranteed to be a good purchase.

At a distance of 120m between houses, it provides confidently 100-105Mbps. Didn't take it outside. Both are behind glass. And one behind a glass package with selective glasses (tested at 54g - they stifle the signal by about 20dB). The signal quality in such conditions is 90-95%. I don’t expose it outside so as not to fool around with lightning protection, and the provider has a 100Mbit limit, so you don’t even need to go faster. But in principle, I checked it by putting it out of the window in

Pros
  • Reliability, quality, functionality, small dimensions
Cons
  • Doesn't look like a third week at all. It works and everything. Even boring. :)

I didn't expect the quality to be so high.

Today marks 3 years since I launched a wireless bridge at two of these stations, connecting me to the Internet. One station is on my wooden house, the second is on the roof of a nine-story building. The region is the Hong Kong region, so the weather conditions are not the most favorable. Frosts, rains, dampness, thunderstorms - for 3 years, the point on the roof of the nine-story building has been working like a clock, turning off only when there are problems with electricity. An excellent…

The quality exceeds all expectations, I recommend to buy.

They have been working for many years, they don’t know what freezes are, I recommend this company. I will add, in the settings of the list of countries (they limit the allowed power) in the old firmware, there was a "test" parameter (I forgot how exactly in English) and you could increase the power to the maximum (although I do not advise you to do it, only if in sparsely populated areas so as not to interfere with others do not clog the air) On new firmware, if you really need it, I advise you

Pros
  • Small, light, workmanship, all-weather, very cheap for such opportunities, an excellent solution for connecting the Internet where the cable cannot reach (private houses for example)

The item is of good quality, there is only one minor defect.

I use about 40 antennas, in a mix with more powerful models, and with the M5, it works fine at 1-2 km, with the right settings at 40 MHz you can get up to 80 mb. S. everything is clear. A problem was noticed with the failure of the LAN port after 8-10 months of operation . out of 40 antennas, 3 burned out, the rest have been working for 2-3 years There is also a problem of falling radio channels, not only M5 but also other ubiquity products, when running traffic, for example, from 50…

Pros
  • Price, interface

Not the best option for a backyard WIFI hotspot

Bought this to have better backyard WIFI. I started installing this product and am experienced in networking and while the user interface was basic the instructions were very lacking. After contacting tech support (no help) and watching a few YouTube videos, I finally made sure all the settings were correct. But for some reason (still undiscovered) the wireless radio wouldn't activate and offer something to connect to. When I contacted support, I discovered that this product is actually quite…

I'm glad I got it! for networking products

I bought this unit to attach to my RV's Batwing TV antenna for easier connection to WIFI hotspots. I also have a Ubiquiti M2 Bullet and 18dbi Omni for the 2.4GHz band and a good friend encouraged me to also get 5GHz for congested places like RV sites. I like the directionality, it's really effective for pulling up weak stations. I was surprised to see how many stations were within blocks of my house when I installed them at home. I won't be traveling for a few months but I'm sure it will help…

  • Very impressive

You get what you pay for

First, they work and are relatively easy to set up; so only a caveman could do it. So why only 3 stars? Like everyone, you get what you pay for. If you're looking for long-term reliability, are in a crowded RF market, or have locations where downtime is expensive or connectivity is critical, don't buy them. Buy a professional, industrial quality product. They cost 10x more, last 10x longer, have better gain and noise reduction. I install this type of product to make a living. They work, but…

Fantastic point to point bridge device

I've had great success with Ubiquiti products in the past and the Loco M5 is no exception. My property has two houses separated by a large yard and I have chosen not to pay for two dedicated internet service accounts by setting up a couple of these devices. They ended up replacing the old NanoStation Loco 5 units, which worked very well but didn't have the bandwidth needed for some of the HD IP cameras I installed on site. Since I already had enough experience configuring these devices and am…

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • I don't mind it's ok

Oh I wish I had known that 4 months ago!

Background: Last year my wife and I built a house 600 feet from Main Street. We also have a rented house just off Main Street 400 feet from the house we built. We later learned that Cox Cable would not install cable internet for us because they were only 300 feet from the street. So I asked them to install it in our rented house and used 2 Ubiquiti NanoStation M5 to wirelessly send a signal back to our new house. In a rented house, I checked the Internet connection speed and it was 61 MB…
