I found myself much better at speed control on level 2

This quadcopter is very affordable and durable. I've banged it into trees, the ground, even my house, and it still works fine. I found I had much better speed control on level 2, especially in the wind. The video is grainy and the motors are pretty loud, but for the price I can't complain. As an example of the quality, I've attached a photo taken with a UDI camera in flight. Battery life for me averages 8-12 minutes per battery depending on flight conditions. The UDI comes with two batteries…

Great fun! AND GREAT VIDEO!

SUPER FUN! AND GREAT VIDEO! I've broken this thing so many times! Still works great! I am absolutely amazed at how well this $55.00 thing works! I could NOT get the "Return Home" function to work until I found it on YouTube! Now this feature works great! is in headless mode! And the drone is within the range of the transmitter, the user needs to stay away from the launch point. To automatically return the quadcopter to Home, press and HOLD the Return Home button! Until the quadcopter comes…

This quad is amazing! My kids used to have cheaper $20 ATVs.

This ATV is awesome! My kids used to have cheaper $20 ATVs and they never lasted long and were very difficult to fly. My 9 year old son really wanted the best for his birthday. The UDI U818A had good reviews and was easy to fly. Well it's really easy to fly and an amazing machine! He too can get injured after being saved from some trees and some hard landings. On cheaper quads this meant trying to swap out the blades for the first couple of flights but no damage so far and the quad has been…

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Problem

To start the review I would like to say that I am new to ATVs. We had a super cheap one a few years ago that lasted about a week or so. Thought I would try again and the price was right. A camera was also included. Bonus! The present was a Christmas present for an 11 year old boy (and his father who was young at heart - me. Okay, maybe it was a present for both of us :)). Our first flight was at our home to get used to the controls which was VERY easy. In a few minutes we were flying very…

This drone is a lot of fun and very beginner friendly

This drone is a lot of fun and very beginner friendly. I've crashed it badly many times and it still flies like new. The headless mode works great and is definitely useful as it keeps the drone pointed in the desired direction no matter which direction the front of the drone is facing. The video quality is very good, especially for such a cheap drone. I've seen the same drone sell for $90 at Revain just because one company put their branding on it, so it's a great deal at around $50. As others…

Didn't fly straight and followed controls

I've used a lot of drones. I was excited to explore this new one. Unfortunately, I couldn't get it to freeze or move left and right permanently. I've recalibrated it several times following the instructions. On the. This is the penultimate run, it doesn't go any further. It was like a huge wind was blowing in front of him. No matter how hard I pushed the stick forward, at that moment he decided to hover in place. On the last run (about 10) he took off high into the sky like a rocket over mighty

Pros
  • Great selection
Cons
  • Sad packaging

Funny but very short.

It was fun to fly once I got the hang of it, but I constantly struggled with my drone's yaw. I've adjusted all the trims to fix the problem but to no avail. For those who don't understand what yaw is, basically this drone turned left without any input from me. It drifts a bit, not much that I can live with, but the constant rotation is very annoying. This drone is designed to fly indoors or outdoors without the slightest breeze. It's so light that if you fly outside in windy or windy…

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • Doubtful

Add me to the legions of people who lost this quadcopter on day one because the wind blew it into the unknown. I read about it all the time so I tried to be careful. What happens is you throw it up a little, and then the wind picks it up a little more. You slowly pull the spirit level down to make it fall, but not too fast because you are a beginner and afraid of banging it 20 feet into the ground. Suddenly you realize you're 40 feet above the air (and 40 feet to the side) and you don't quite…

Pros
  • Outstanding Overall Performance
Cons
  • Some Flaws

Great first quadcopter with horrible instructions

If you're looking for an entry-level quadcopter that's feature-packed but cheap and durable enough to withstand a few falls, then the UDI U818A is it for her. exactly in the right place. Once you get used to the controls (more on that in the next paragraph), maneuvering becomes fluid, predictable, and undramatic. The range is excellent, and while the camera isn't professional, it's good enough for clips and social media photos. If this is your first drone please read this guide…
