No sharpest knife in desk drawer

Arrived poorly sharpened making it dangerous to use after delivery. Once sharpened, it does a good job. You can use a case with it, the tube it comes in won't cut open for storage.

Pros
  • Many will fit
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than others

Good service and good knife for the price. Would buy again.

Delivery was on time. I tried the knife and it cuts well and feels good in the hand for a $19 carving knife. I'm not sure how long the edge will last before it needs sharpening. Plan to buy more to teach wood carving to teenagers.

Pros
  • Quick replacement
Cons
  • Hard to tell

hawkish? for Craft

my blade came very curved (poorly sharpened, almost a beak but they don't make such a model), not what I wanted. looks like good steel because it took forever to change shape. and seems to be holding a good lead. but not the knife I wanted to buy. I would send it back but wanted to try to fix it

Pros
  • Waiting for
Cons
  • Weak set

Very nicely shaped wood carving tools

I have a 1940's model and I liked the way it felt in my hand. Now he's gone to open the post office. This new one is comfortable to hold and sharp. This is the perfect little knife for wood carving. A bit pricey but worth it as it should last 70 years like the previous one. If you need to touch up the edge, use a fine-grain Arkansas stone. Knife sharpeners and rough stones will shorten blade life and won't give you a sharp edge.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Not all will fit

Very good coarse knife

This is my first experience with a knife from this brand. I have made several knives and I have other woodcarving knives that are made in Europe. The steel construction and quality is just as good at a much lower price. Gunsmith brand catalogs include this mark for notching a wooden stock. They also manufacture other high quality hand tools for other industries that require precision tools and tools. Visit the company's website and I think you will be impressed with what they have to offer. i…

Maybe I just got a lemon.

Very disappointed. The knife feels great. Very comfortable to hold. The knife is really dull. Okay, not the end of the world. I tried sharpening and got a decent edge, then the tip bent. Shit, grind that down. Rebuilt and re-sharpened. This time 1/8 inch below the bend point. Too bad I just sent it back. But of course I tried to fix it and I couldn't return it now but I don't have the $20. At the same time, I bought a cheaper knife and it turned out to be very good, so I can at least start…

Pros
  • Wood products
Cons
  • So far so good

Good marking knife - Wood carving tools

Bought for woodworking. I've run through just about every other type of marking/punching knife. Who would have thought that something so simple would be so personal and so difficult to get "just right"? Well, I've finished my search. It is great. The shape of the point and the generally triangular cross-section of the blade prevent the blade from wandering and following the grain when it shouldn't. Compared to the old Stanley promoted by Paul Sellers, it's 10 times easier to write a good line…

Pros
  • Wood carving tools
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly
