Doesn't duplicate with UE Roll models

This speaker doesn't duplicate with UE Roll models. That was the main reason I bought the speaker, so I was very disappointed. The doubling feature used to work with Boom speakers, but UE disabled it with a firmware update, which is further disappointing. Called support to see if there was a workaround but they (several carriers) said it wasn't possible. One even admitted that this was a confusing and annoying move by UE and that he had heard this complaint from many other users.

Pros
  • Rugged finish
Cons
  • New competitors have arrived

My favorite Bluetooth speaker, hands down.

Excellent speaker with great loud sound. I had a Gen 1 speaker and it still works fine, but I'm wondering how Gen 2 improved on an already great product? First, it has a longer Bluetooth range and communicates with multiple devices easily. Battery life seems the same to me with louder gaming, but charges faster. The USB and 3.5mm audio jacks feature an improved sealing design to keep out moisture and dirt. This speaker is built to last. I've dropped it from a few feet and it didn't hurt at all.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

UP Boom 2! Get 2, it's worth it!

I have 2 of these, one bought new from Best Buy and one from Revain. Both sound great and pair well for playing in different rooms, turning up the volume or playing in stereo. They are waterproof and I take them with me everywhere. Initially, I named the buttons differently (and colored them) to know which are which when paired. I quickly noticed a difference between the two speakers. Store-bought Revain doesn't last very long on a charge. I suspect this speaker was returned due to a battery…

Certification is a joke, I don't recommend

Bluetooth connected quickly and easily, but after turning off the speaker I had to turn off and on the phone's bluetooth to repair. Neither the hand gesture nor the microphone worked. Tested hand gestures for stop/play and skip songs, but no response. The microphone didn't work at all. So if you're looking for something more than a basic speaker, there's no guarantee you'll have a working speaker, even though it's certified. I also have to wonder if the battery is reliable (if it's old it…

good speaker. Not so loud JBL Charge 3.

PROSExcellent sound quality. I downloaded the UE Boom app to increase the base as others have suggested. This is a great feature and seems to stay active on the speaker regardless of which phone is currently controlling it (only 1 can at a time). I'm comparing this to the JBL Charge 3 which doesn't have a dedicated app to save mixer settings etc. DISADVANTAGE. Mainly control buttons: I wish the speaker had play buttons (FF, rewind, etc.) The volume buttons are hard to press without holding the…

The short battery life and the syncing feature have some issues.

This product is ALMOST perfect. I use it when I go cycling with my girlfriend. She has the same one and we put it in bottle holders to listen to while we commute to work. Just two issues that may not be a problem for you. First, the battery life is terrible. I get maybe 2.5 hours out of it. You want this to be tethered to an outlet. Second, if you're planning on syncing the two together, it's really more of a stationary thing. It works great, but even when I'm very close to my friend's bike, it

Pros
  • Portable AV
Cons
  • So far so good

Works great and delivers much better volume and sound quality than expected. I play in a dance group and have used this for practice/rehearsals because home sound systems are difficult to use, limited, technically problematic or non-existent. We never know where we're going to practice. The unit provides enough volume for a group rehearsal at just half the volume (iPhone was fully on) in every location we rehearsed. It fits in my dance shoe case! I started taking it on hikes with a hiking…

Stereo pairing is a pain; Party mode is unpredictable.

I bought 4 of these hoping to be able to easily install stereo speakers anywhere or have them play around the whole garden with ease (stereo is not possible if 3 or more speakers are connected - crap). However, pairing any configuration other than a single speaker is challenging. Each speaker sounds very good for its size. But pairing for a stereo is random, and connecting others in party mode is even more unpredictable. I named my speakers A, B, C, and D in the Bluetooth settings, tested them,
