Poor quality of styling tools and equipment

I ordered this brush to replace a similar brush I received a few years ago and although the design is identical the quality of this one is very poor. everything else is so cheaply made that when you open or close it you can see the bend in the plastic. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before he collapses from the stress. I received the bright neon green instead of the plain black shown in the picture. So if you buy one of these, understand that you may not want the image you expect. The…

Too smelly to use! - Hair care

If this brush didn't smell like rubber or plastic to the point of stunning, it would probably have gotten 3 stars. I've had handy brushes like this before and the only problem is that they break a lot and I can't find them in local stores so I ordered these from Revain. Since I received it it has been airing outside on our porch and I have given up because it still smells very strong. If I put it in my purse it would infect everything with its smell, so I still don't have a spare brush.

Probably classed as a joke.

I decided to just buy this and see if it really is as bad as everyone says it is. Yes, it fills the whole room with the smell of gasoline. in someone's office? It could especially be bought and hidden in someone's office. the one that heats up near the window and really drives them crazy. Hey don't judge me, I'm just trying to think of a positive use for this item. My current plan is to keep it in a plastic bag with white vinegar and see if I can get rid of the smell.

Pros
  • Decent performance

Good brush. good size.

But it stinks to high heaven. Finally it smelled less, but my god, what a smell! I take the mirror from them and put it in my front pocket. I stopped using a comb a long time ago because my hair was so thick it broke. (I'm a man). Curlys made the best brushes, but they're long gone. If you can be patient and wait for the smell to wear off, buy one.

Better use your fingers

I needed a more portable brush for my purse as my main brush was too big. I bought it thinking it would be perfect, the color in the picture is included. When mine arrived it was light green. My mistake - I should have read the tiny product description instead of looking at the CGI images which SHOULD accurately depict this horrible product. Why was it terrible you ask? Part of the brush had BROKEN OFF the handle when I ran it through my hair for the FIRST TIME. And my hair isn't even curly; it

Use a mirror to look at the funny face you make at the smell!

When people report that products smell bad, I always think they are overreacting. I've bought a few of these items and found some that need a little time to air out, but most are fine. This brush was not one of these articles. The people were right! That brush smelled of gasoline all over the house. He's been out for 3 days and I'm a little scared to check on him. My wife will not use it.

Pros
  • Only positive
Cons
  • There are problems
