Keys are dimmed, backlit keyboard is unusable in the dark

This black keyboard case works great in low light conditions, it's thinner than other screen protectors I've used for other keyboards and it feels like it's good fits stay where you are. However, immediately after unpacking, a design flaw was noticed. The keys are completely blacked out and the characters are colored white, which prevents backlit keys from displaying their characters as originally intended. This is the case if this protection was made for a non-backlit keyboard. The photos inโ€ฆ

Fits perfectly on my Surface laptop keyboard (not Surface Pro - unknown fit)!

fits perfectly! So very satisfied so far. but I just took it out of the box and placed it on the keyboard - haven't actually glued it to the laptop yet. For the time being, the product fits perfectly on the keyboard of my Surface laptop (Warning: NOT Surface PRO!) that I bought from Fry's Electronics in 2018/2019.

Not so great. in Computer Accessories & Peripherals

I would definitely have missed it. I got it folded in half in the mail which ended up damaging it. (The top of the packaging clearly states not to bend or fold.) Despite the bending damage, the lid was a lot stiffer than I had hoped and allowed for a lot more height than real keys, resulting in a lid that didn't fit at all. . You have to type a lot harder, and even then some keys don't respond as quickly due to the hard coating. Hopefully we'll get a softer silicone case for the Surface Laptopโ€ฆ

Light doesn't go through.

The letters seem light, but they aren't. They're just white on black. Therefore 4 stars. Nice touch when typing. The screen unlock button has been replaced with a power icon.

hard to type for keyboard skins

I've used keyboard protectors before, so I know it feels different than typing directly on the keyboard. but for that I removed it after 3 days. it just made it so clumsy and difficult to type.

Doesn't let the main light shine through

Pretty good. It doesn't fully fit my keyboard, but it's good for protection, just in case. The only bad thing is that I can't see the buttons glowing when the panel is placed over them.

Excellent keyboard protection

Provides reliable keyboard protection without adding bulk to the computer. It's a bit loose around the edges, but I'm hoping that will go away after the lid has been on for a while.
