🚿 Umbra Flex Double Shower Rings: White/Chrome Set of 12 – 2" x 3" Rings Review

I had these metal curtain hooks, they even had small pulleys, but they didn't work with my cornice. They got stuck where the two bars meet and I had to lift and pull them each time. Not to mention that they were very noisy. These are great! They glide smoothly and are silent.

Original review: 5th July 2020 These shower rings are well made and look great. Putting on the shower curtain and liner was a breeze. The rings are strong enough to properly hold and balance the strong 10 gauge lining and curtain that I have. I wouldn't use any harsh chemicals to clean it, a simple wash and dry with water should do the trick. I will update this review if anything goes wrong (e.g. structural or material integrity).

I can't believe nobody has ever thought of making shower hooks like this. This is genius. The hooks are flexible, so you can easily hang the shower curtain. And even better... You can turn the hooks inside out if you like! I can't believe I'm so in love with shower hooks but once you try them you'll see what I mean. They are amazing, I'm so glad I stopped messing around with shower curtain pieces that fell off the hooks. Product A++

Maybe my teenage girls open the shower curtain too often but the ends of the curtain keep coming off the hooks (usually 2 or 3 holes outside left and right). Definitely a first world issue, not a deal breaker. These hooks definitely make it easier to take the curtains off, so I'm much more inclined to do laundry regularly. I love how quiet they are on the glide and how much easier they glide than standard rings. Super modern look that I like.

This is my first time getting double shower curtain rings. Also, this is the first time I see rings with rollers of this type. I usually took metal rollers with metal rollers, and they ended up rusting. These rings use plastic/rubber material for the rollers. After a move, tired of all the hassle with all the standard hooks, the Umbra design looks more elegant. The silicone hooks can be rotated outwards 180 degrees and hold the lining and curtain just as well (and are much easier to change). I don't know why Umbra turned them inside out, but they twist out easily. White is actually white, gray is a nice neutral gray (both exist). I wish I had bought these sooner. I was disappointed with the shower curtain hooks, which would snag and pull, especially when going over a bump where the rod would come out. They glide effortlessly through everything. The best part about the design is that the rollers are non-metallic, so the moving parts are less likely to rust over time in a humid environment. Apparently my super old shower curtain rod is custom sized and has a plastic exterior. This is crazy old but technically the right size for most reel hooks. HOWEVER, due to the position of the rollers, they always jam on the hooks and are unusable.
