Expensive and imperfect

The box is built quite poorly, none of the hinges stand straight, I would have preferred if they just sent all the parts and screws so I can take care of installing it properly myself.

Bent/broken hardware

The clasp was bent to the point where the metal started to break. Luckily I plan on removing the latch and replacing it with a nicer one, but it shouldn't have been sold damaged. the rest of the box is decent.

medium small, wood

This one was smaller than I needed so I gave it to my daughter. The top and sides are solid wood, not plywood but soft pine. The bottom is 1/8" plywood. Not very strong so don't put anything too heavy on it and you'll be fine. The hinges and latches are metal and fitted straight. Hand etc. shown to scale only. or just decorate good Price-performance ratio.

Well-made box

Delivery was quick, box arrived in good condition. This is a well made box. The hinges and the lid lock are mounted correctly. The top and bottom of the box match perfectly. The wood is very soft and light. The box must not be treated roughly. A little sanding, a coat of urethane, another sanding and a final finish makes a very good case. You can get any color with dye. And the price is right. I recommend this case.
