Fits a very old rocking chair

We had an old rocking chair that my wife's grandfather had - if you weren't careful you could fall back as the springs were removed. I assume the chair is maybe 60 years old? I never thought it would be easy to replace what looked like the original springs, but it was a 10 minute job. That never happens! Now the chair is much safer.

Replacement Lazy Boy Springs

The springs have been replaced with a 2006 Lazy Boy. I lay the chair on its side on each side. The holes line up easily at the bottom and with a little conviction at the top. Upper Screws. Starting at the extreme left or right hole first, work your way through the spring frame with another screwdriver or small pry bar. When working from the arm side of the chair, I had to open the chair up (while lying on my side) to access the top screws. I replaced the factory hex head screws and used longer…

High quality inexpensive replacement springs

I see no difference between these springs and OE springs other than that they are much cheaper. They appear to be very well made and there's no reason to think they won't last at least as long as the originals. Installation was relatively easy as they are identical in shape and size - all the screw holes lined up perfectly. Time will tell but for now I'm very happy with my purchase. The only downside was that the screws that came with them had flat heads, which I avoided when possible due to…

Precision Replacement Springs for Lazyboy Vintage Rocking Chair

There are at least two types of Lazyboy rocking chair springs, so check which ones you need. It was an exact replacement for my chair and the holes matched perfectly. Mine needed a T 25 Torex screwdriver for the screws. The only trick is that the hard springs need to be stretched before installation for proper use and hole adjustment. One way to do this is to put a bolt in the top hole and thread a nut under the top mounting flange. By pushing the thick bolt down until it hits the opposite…
