    Very disappointed. in power converters

    It was a little over 30 days old now it's impossible to return it. No reply from Pyle after 4 emails. Used to power my Anytone 778. Suddenly the power supply turns itself off when transmitting at any power level. When not transmitting, it turns on the radio in RX. Very very very disappointed in the product, I will not be buying another pyramid again or buying anything from Pyle.

    High quality design, large heatsinks.

    Should have put in a spare fuse or used a circuit breaker instead of a fuse. 5A fuse for 12A supply (odd). The fuse says PL5A 250V. Good for many car devices for home use. I'm resetting the fuse now. I like longer power cords, but that's fine as it's common in the competitive market. If you're using an extension cord, make sure its cord is at least 12 AWG, not sixteen, and possibly 10 AWG if your run is longer than seven feet.     Continuous is actually 8.25 amps, not 12 amps.

    If you pull the rated voltage of 12 amps for more than 5 minutes, the device will turn off. If you draw 9 amps for more than 15 minutes, it will turn off. 8.25 amps is the maximum I could draw in the 20 minutes it took me to work. The estimate for this is misleading and will not be listed anywhere unless you go to their website and download the manual for the device.
