. Received a remote control to replace another that died. It's easy to program an old receiver that's already installed in the fan.

Purchased 2 from Home Depot. 1 failed, smells like smoke. I didn't power the fan or light for a month. The second failed after 2 months. It continued to power this fan, but since it stopped responding to the remote, we had to remove it so we could turn on the light.

The fasteners in the kit were used to assemble the complete fan unit and were not useful. The lack of instructions made troubleshooting difficult. New devices are supplied with the required battery. it was not. When shipped with the correct battery, the device did not control the fan. Buy new.

Buyers be careful not to look at the pictures on this page as you will only receive the remote control shown. You will receive a completely different receiver than in the picture. I needed the one in the picture and I'm not sure if the one that came will fit.
