Does not work with KENWOOD stereo systems.

Failed. It's a simple setup and matching wires. I have a new KENWOOD stereo system with a double din C jack cable to the steering wheel. Bluetooth, reversing camera, etc. So the radio is not cheap. I've tried everything on my stereo including the OEM setup. Nothing worked. It didn't sync to my stereo.

Works perfectly! In five-minute intervals.

Worked great for the first month or so. After that it started to shake. I've had it for 5 months now and the device has been working flawlessly for various times. After programming with the main unit, it may work normally for an hour, but usually only works for five minutes. For some reason it changes button codes in a seemingly random way, forcing me to either reprogram all functions (very safe to do this while driving, right?) or just stop using it. Buy cheap, get cheap.

Buy it only if you have an Android head unit. That's great!

Cool stuff! It works great with aftermarket head units made specifically for Chinese Android head units. It may or may not work with Pioneer, Sony, Kenwood, etc. radios. It will definitely work with an Android head unit. I bought a JOYING head unit and an ASWC-1 steering wheel controller and it doesn't work. This thing works as expected and looks good too. Works great on my XTRONS Android Stereo

Connect the red wire to ACC Power, the black to ground and the third wire to KEY 1 on the stereo. Works great and now much safer to use the stereo. The plastic handle works great and can be very tight. It connects instantly and gets into my presses very quickly. The only thing that bothers me is the outer ring. You can program it to any input you want, I chose +/- volume and it works great. It's just that if you spin the wheel pretty fast, it doesn't send any input to the stereo, so you have to

Ideal. once you understand what it is and what it isn't

This is NOT a universal, infrared or bluetooth remote control but a pair of remote control and receiver that allows you to make some receivers that have a SWC (steering wheel control) input. There doesn't seem to be a standard for resistor values using SWC inputs, so it may or may not be compatible with your receiver. If that's not the case, there are 3rd party adapters (like Metra Axxess) that can do the conversion - I rolled up my own. Compatibility issues aside, the device itself worked…
