Not absorbent at all

I feel like changing my 2 month old baby every 10 minutes because he doesn't like being wet. They don't absorb. After 10 minutes you can feel the moisture on the clothes. They fit well but don't absorb half of what other brands do.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • So far so good

Baby may need to gain weight

Not sure if my baby was big enough but she was definitely in the weight category but newborn diapers seemed too big for her. They didn't feel tight enough around her legs, and no matter how much we tightened her waist, it still seemed to fall off her ass. We'll have to wait and see if it fits in a few weeks, we wouldn't want to waste a pack of diapers.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than others

Bulky, less bulky

I bought them at Target for half the price of Pampers diapers (which they gave us at the hospital for our two week old daughter). Note that Up & Up diapers are MUCH bulkier than Pampers for small babies - they create more bulk between their little legs (see photo). They also appear to be poorly absorbent, instead just collecting waste at the bottom (and sometimes the waist - nope) of the diaper. With so much extra bulk, I was expecting more absorption. Finally, Pampers' streamlined fit seems…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • There are new competitors
