Judging by the title, it seems that the built-in battery is already dead. It lights up with a red charging indicator when exposed to sunlight or when starting up, but no longer charges the internal battery. Therefore, it cannot charge the mobile phone unless you rotate the handle. In an emergency, it still works. But it has lost most of its functionality. If I could give 2.5 stars I would. Bought 2 of these 1000mah batteries with solar powered emergency start and LED flashlight. Gave one to my wife. One problem with both devices is that the charging indicator never goes out. I have no way of knowing if they will ever fully charge. Both have been charged for 5 days or more and still show charging. The LED light is quite bright and the radio works great.
