The cover is soft-touch vinyl which is a marine-grade that resists UV lights,This will make the seat look fresh for an extended time with proper maintenance. On top of seat, it has a high-density plastic rotational molded frame that will keep the seat intact even after years of constant use. Quality seat at great price

I was really concerned about buying a new pontoon captains seat as my old one was really comfortable. But at a price of $500 to reupholster, I knew I had to take the chance. And this new seat is very comfortable and worth the $150. Don’t hesitate to buy. The only difference between my old one and new one is the arms are more straight up and down on this one. The Leader Pontoon captains seat is probably closer to my old one. See attached picture of my old seat and this Seamander. Also, bolts…

Great chair on my review.

This seat is a great value, just screw It down and that’s it. Slides back and forth smoothly and easy height adjustment. Doesn’t feel wobbly.

  • Does what I need. Very easy to use and protect my seat from sun.

  • The seat's cushioning may be too firm or too soft, resulting in discomfort during prolonged use

Quality and ease of install

The seat is a very close match to the original. The colors, the quality and comfort are great. My only issue was the delivery was late by a day and the mounting screws were too short. I went to the hardware store and had to buy 4 new stainless steel screws a half inch longer.

Great seat - my new review

Very easy to install. Arrived quickly. Overall comfortable. Where the armrests meet the seat by your hips can be a little snug. I’m 200# and it’s a little confining but you get used to it. Still is a very good seat.

Good selection of colors to choose from

Installed in a 18’ I/O looks and fits well, picture shows the new on the left and the old on the right, if they wear well I will be happy.

good and sturdy, best to add a 2 by 10 block of wood under it.

Due to the construction, it may sit lower than the chair it replaces, get a 2 by 10 by 14 board to space it higher and give it more strength. You will need longer bolts, but they are common USS thread available anywhere.

Baby booster seat for pontoon boat

The quality of this product is 5 star. However I’m not sure why this is called a captain’s seat when it’s extremely narrow. Bought this for my father and unfortunately his butt doesn’t fit into it. Let’s just say the width of this seat is narrower than a seat on a plane. I was extremely disappointed in the size and offered to return it but he said he would just buy a new captains chair and use it as a seat elsewhere on the pontoon. The height of this chair also ends at an uncomfortable spot on…
