The ring worked well for the first 3 weeks but then wouldn't close when not in use. A week later, the part of the ring holder that held the ring broke off.

I had this ring for ten days. That's all. The housing that the ring clips attach to is plastic and not very durable plastic. I noticed that it started cracking after about four days. One of the two wings holding the brackets broke on the 5th day. All of this broke and the ring came off today, the 10th day. Don't waste money. Invest in a ring with a full metal body instead, as they won't hold pressure.

My son put it on his phone. I have attached pictures. He said the installation was very easy and I've seen him use the ring multiple times so he must love this ring. Initially the curve is tight, but after a few curves it loosens up. Update: The ring popped out of the base. Not broken, just the rivets are twisted out of the base. Easy to attach by pressing the base with your thumb and pulling the ring up. Taken back straight away. (last picture)

Ultra thin phone ring. no complaints yet. One thing that surprised me that my last call didn't work was that it opened/closed. When I first opened it I was afraid I would accidentally rip it off the phone, it was VERY tough. since then it has subsided somewhat. rotates and moves smoothly on the hinge but with enough resistance not to break during use. UPDATE: I thought the item was assembled backwards but turns out the hinge just swings back and forth and there is a VERY strong clamp (I thought I was going to break it). I just put it on my phone but wanted to fix mine. excellent rating. Seems like a lot of people break them - I think it's because the clamp is so strong. Everything was fine at first but I've had it for almost two months and it just broke down yesterday! The ring is still connected and I can use it to hold my phone, but it no longer supports my phone for basic viewing. It lies flat no matter how I turn the ring. What originally allowed it to stop just over halfway, which allowed the ring to support my phone, no longer works and the ring will lay flat on my phone. I've only had this ring for a few days so I can't comment on its durability. However, I can say that I really like the design. I've had a few different ones and love the low profile of this one.
