Overall this is a good cable and it works as long as you use the micro USB connection. A problem occurs when you try to use the Type-C port. My phone accepts Type C and doesn't stay connected. Since there are many devices that charge via USB-C, and of course we have many Micro-USB, this durable braided cable is amazing. One for my computer desk, one for my bag and one for my car. We have so many old and new devices that we need to charge them. Most newer models use a USB-C connector, but we still have headphones and other devices that use a micro-USB connector. It's the best of both worlds. I hope the replacement part doesn't wear out prematurely, but so far they're great.

These cables are well made and very functional. There are many devices in our family that use both Micro-USB and USB-C, and it is very convenient to have a charging cable in the charging box. A line holding the two ends together is essential to its usefulness, and the braided line is strong and excellent at preventing it from tangling with itself and other lines. My kids can be very picky about charging cords and they stopped with no sign of the ends coming loose.

Update: September 2019 After I posted this review, the company contacted me immediately. They apologized for the inconvenience. They gave me the option of a full refund or replacement even after the 30 day period had passed. I got a new cable. I've used some of the new cables with no further problems. These cables are very good until they stop working. Colors look good and the included USB-C adapter is great for a transitional period where some devices use Micro-USB and others use Type-C. We have now bought 2 of these sets and have no intention of trying a third. The cable reliably stops charging after 1-2 months of use and needs to be replaced. Great at first as others have said. The micro-teeth will begin to wear down as they transition from regular to light use. I use Type C but my wife sometimes used my cables for her micro splice. Once the pins in the joint wear out, it's no longer possible to hold the Type-C part in place to charge it.
