Great tool and I would give it all 5 stars but it's either your case or this adapter but you can't install the bottom cover. I installed this adapter for the first time and wondered why it doesn't work. So I removed the bottom of the Mac case and it worked fine.

This product works great with my MacBook Pro. The only problem I sometimes encounter is when I try to insert an SD card and a USB stick at the same time. My computer may be slower and sometimes won't even let me use both at the same time. Excellent color, small interior, product recognized by the computer. I know I was nervous about the brand, but it works great for uploading content to my YouTube channel for editing.

Does what it says, just wish it could run dual monitors and charge a MacBook at the same time. Ideal for 1 monitor, but I still had to buy a Belkin mini-dock to connect two monitors. Can't get any stars for this because it's not advertised; but you might think it's because it has enough ports. 4 stars because I had to return the first one because it was broken and I think they charged me 2.

Overall the dock just isn't bad. Starting with the design, it got 1 out of 5 points because the color is completely missing. Second, functionality is 5 out of 5, all ports work as they should! Third and lastly, value for money is also 5 out of 5 as it is the cheapest I could find on Amazon Prime. I give it 73, which is a passing but not exactly 4 stars.

Bought for use with one of my laptops. All ports do exactly what they are designed to do, charging is useful, the design looks good and it's nice to have something aluminum rather than plastic. On the other hand, the shape means the adapter is easy to knock out, and if it's used on a surface other than a table, I'm concerned that the USB-C port could become damaged. Two USB-C ports close together, this device closes they both.

So I actually looked through two of these and the second has the same problems as the first. I was looking for a hub with a "stable" connection (as you know, USB-C is a small physical connection and can be quite sensitive if you plug in the entire hub), but I'm sorry to say that this isn't the one case is case. If I pick up my Macbook or move it a little, the connection drops and it's a really bad quality experience overall. It is also advertised with two USB-C ports BUT only one seems to work.
