Useless Speaker Spacers for Car Electronics

I purchased these spacers hoping for an easy installation, however, they were extremely difficult to work with. Thanks to my knowledge gained in practice with car electronics I was finally able to make them fit, but it took several attempts .the only pro I can give is that they seem sturdy. Overall, I would not recommend this product. It caused more frustration than it was worth..

Pros
  • Durable and lightweight construction
Cons
  • There are cons

Perfect fit and easy to install!

I have a 2003 VW Golf and when I went to replace the stock speakers I found that the stock gasket could not be reused. I couldn't find subwoofers small enough to fit without the spacer on the aftermarket. in VW subs are installed at the bottom of the doors and their placement interferes with the windows. If you're not careful, your window will hit the subwoofer when you lower it! The subs I ended up buying were actually a bit thicker than the standard subs, so I definitely needed 2" spacers…

Pros
  • Coaxial speakers
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine
