Description of Uxcell Furniture M6X15Mm Threaded Interface

【Base Info】Internal thread size: M6, nut external diameter: 10.5mm, length: 15mm. 【Material】Made of carbon steel, color galvanized surface treatment, high hardness, and perfect wear resistance, standard inner hexagon socket, smooth, non-slip. 【Applications】Suitable for hardwood, such as solid wood, has a good effect on the furniture combination. 【Advantage】The unique external thread ensures positive locking and offers strong resistance against pull-out due to torsion or vibration. 【Installation】Make a hole smaller than the outer diameter of 0.2-0.5mm, and lock the nut with a tool. The mounting hole should not be larger than the outer diameter of the thread. When the nut is locked, some wood glue can be applied to the outer teeth to make the fastening effect good.

Works as intended, easy to install.

Well made threads and easy to install. Screwdriver bit for wood assembly does not slip. The external threads are nice and deep to trap wood glue so it doesn't get on anything, including the internal threads where you don't want it. (Yes, for maximum strength you should use glue on the male threads.) Recommended.

Excellent Hardwood Inserts

I tested these inserts on softwood scraps and also on a walnut table. With soft woods I can use an 8mm drill bit and screw in the insert with little effort. If I drill a 10mm hole instead, the insert loses strength. A 10mm hole works very well on a walnut. I've looked through literally hundreds of offers on Revain. Hardwood metric inserts are not easy to find in the US. I'm glad I have them!
