What can I say, I have an Escort Passport Max 2 with a broken speaker and this speaker fitted well. It took me about 20 minutes to take it apart, remove the old speaker, disconnect the cable and connector from the old speaker, solder the wires to the new speaker, and put everything back together. The radar detector is now working! I don't know how long the speaker will last but I have an extra speaker just in case as it was a two pack.

The Escort Passport Max 2 is notorious for having a busted speaker. I couldn't find an OE replacement so I gave it a try. The speaker matches the specification and size of the original 8 ohm 2w speaker. It doesn't seem that loud, but it works. The solder on this connector is weak and has been known to crack when moved from normal vibration and the slightest tug can break the solder.

If you look at the picture, the old one is below. The new one (the one I'm checking right now) is at the top. I just installed it yesterday and it works like a charm! The only caveat is that you have to remove the wires from the old, failed speaker and solder them to the 2 contact points on the new speaker.
