This is an odd size. I haven't had any luck finding plastic tubing to use with them. For 8 feet or longer. The factory two-piece slider tube is not strong enough. i will return it

I didn't get installation instructions. I contacted Valterra for advice. Since the factory part is glued to the medium, you need to cut off the damaged part and then glue this part. Since the hinge on the original door broke and the door fell off somewhere, I was able to snap the door off of this and slide it into the factory load bearing end.

One side of the hinge on my old lid broke so I had to replace it. After removing the old one, you need to cut the cover off the bracket and reduce its length by about 2 inches. I would like the lid hinge to be made of a stronger material. My old one broke during an off road trip which made it very uncomfortable. I think a small metal rod could have been inserted during the casting process to make the hinge more solid.

Recently bought a small caravan and needed to stow rods on top of trailer and came across these covers. Like other comments in the reviews, 4 inch PVC drain and drain pipe is not suitable. This is a slight modification I made to customize the lid for my use. I bought a cheaper tube and I'm not sure how long it will hold up in the sun, but I put some rubber glue on the flanged end of the tube and then glued a cap on the end.
