Excellent quality in peeler

Love these peelers. The flat one feels a little flimsy, but the blades on both are nice and sharp. The real test will be how long they last, but so far I'm very happy with this purchase. AUGUST UPDATE: still valid! Definitely worth it.

The rubber inserts on the handle fell out before I even had a chance to use them.

At least the rubber has fallen apart. Which is very disappointing, I wanted something quite nice and good looking in the picture and if it was all in one piece it would be nice. I think it's just a bad handle design, I don't see how it could have stayed at all if it hadn't fallen off.

Not sharp enough. good for kitchen and dining room

These knives serve as a cheap replacement for a broken knife until I find something better. They are comfortable to hold, a good size and feel sturdy. Unfortunately, the blades are not very sharp. Maybe I'm just spoiled by the great device I used for ten years before it finally gave up, but I expected more.

As other reviews have mentioned the plastic parts on the handles are falling off. The blades spin too much, to the point where they spin a full 180 degrees and you can't cut properly. Seems to be a design flaw. If you slowly scrape the material, you can keep the blades pointed in the right direction, but not for long before it starts rotating again. Seems to be a design flaw. I would advise you to buy something else and try your luck somewhere else.

Peeler will not peel

I bought this because I couldn't find my old knife. I tried to peel the mango but the knife wouldn't bite into it. If I press really hard I might tear the skin off, but it's not safe to use when you need to put that much pressure on it. I had the same result with both peels. It might work with other things too, but a knife that doesn't peel well is actually trash. The grip seems good when you hold it and can't sort things out.
