Very fast! Reliable

I didn't like using an external hard drive with a spinning disk as it took 2-4 times longer to read/write than my internal SSD on my Apple Mac. A lot of money for an entry-level Mac with just 124GB of storage. Adding works very quickly and reliably. Appears as an external drive. Features USB-A and USB-C cables. Warms during use.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Okay, but thermal throttling is an issue for some.

I love this nifty little 120GB Vx500 from Verbatim. It's small, light, fits easily in a jacket pocket and is suitable for easy uploading and downloading of files. In fact, my only problem came with stress testing large file transfers. I didn't follow closely, but of course the drive thermally throttled badly before 50GB of data was written to it. At this point it became slower than a regular hard drive - for writing data. At this point read speeds were still great, around 420MB/s on my 2014 Mac

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Quality

Very good! Best in Computers & Accessories

This is a 125GB hard drive, which is only slightly larger than a regular flash drive. It worked plug and play on my system (windows 7) and although I don't have a USB 3.1 I still have what I consider above average read/write speeds. (I created an 18GB file in about 3 minutes.) On USB 3.1 it can take less than a minute. If you buy this I hope you are as happy with it as I am and thanks for taking the time to read my review!

Pros
  • Very Good Price
Cons
  • Can be damaged

Works well but gets HOT.

And I mean very hot! I can't even touch it when it's plugged in, let alone transfer data. However, it is super fast. My computer recognizes it and opens it as soon as I plug it in and the data is transferred very quickly. It helps that my USB port is also USB 3.0. The color is nice but the metal is too shiny for a matte finish. The cable is very short, but I can deal with it. Note, however, that you cannot touch this during use!

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

As close to perfection as possible

Can't say anything bad about it - small, thin, light, lightning fast and absolutely ready to go. I'll get a few more for the photo archive. This is a fantastic product.

Pros
  • It's amazing
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Ultra-fast drive with USB and USB-C

This is a super-fast drive. I used it for my video editing projects. I don't want to always be stuck at my desk when sometimes I want to relax and lean back on my laptop. This drive allows me to quickly transfer all my files to and from computers. The disk is quite small and thin. It comes with USB 3.0 as well as a USB-C cable. So this works great on my two computers. Most of my videos are around 3GB each, so I can store quite a lot of videos with this 120GB drive. xfer speeds were very fastโ€ฆ

Just what I needed

I wanted a device to store personal files, music, etc. I don't want to store personal items on my work laptop. Yes, I know everyone is using the cloud these days, and so am I, but my job limits what personal stuff you can access from the office. This device is exactly what I wanted. It's big enough for everything I need to do, it's small and almost weightless so carrying it in a backpack isn't a problem, it doesn't require an AC adapter (powered by USB), and it's completely silent. The pros are

Pros
  • Fits many
Cons
  • No color required

Super-fast way to store tons of data

If those memory cards aren't enough, you've got 120GB of storage in a tiny device. It's really thin, with a very attractive brushed stainless steel finish, and copies files instantly. So fast, in fact, that I had to double-check to make sure they were actually being copied! Of course, you'll only get these speeds if your laptop has a USB3.1 port - plugging into an older port will be VERY slow. The only downside is that you have to carry a small cable with you - it's not built into the deviceโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Always liked
Cons
  • Frequency

Works well for me, looks good and is very stable. Great for video

I need to transfer a lot of videos from one computer to another and those download speeds as mentioned in another section over USB C are great and fast. This drive can be carried in your pocket, and while it's not as small as a flash drive, it's quite small. I think the idea is not to replace the flash drive but as an alternative to one as it is a solid state drive with excellent stability and high speed. It's been a workhorse for me for a month now that I use about 4 times a week.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Fix
