Not the best quality anymore in blanks

I have been ordering the same pack of 50 literal CDs for several years and the last batch of 2020 was inferior. About one in three CDRs fails during the write process, which is something I haven't experienced in years. The coating on the bottom is quite different from the previous packaging, which means something has changed on the supply side. I can't recommend them more as a backup.

Pros
  • Normal price
Cons
  • Exorbitant price

Holds up well and remains one of the most durable CD-Rs I've ever used.

Designing CD labels is fun. It's also nice to see that it's printed onto the disc itself with a white matte finish, providing the perfect canvas for your print as the ink is carefully set on the matte finish. However, I would like the entire area of the hub ring to be printable as well, as it takes some time for the ink to dry on the exposed plastic. Therefore, when stacking a freshly printed disc, be careful not to soil it. Despite this, excellent quality, durability and reliability at an…

Must have gotten a bad batch

Last year I bought 3-100x bags for the annual Christmas project. The first two seemed normal. A few rattles, but no big deal. The third one I just opened today was a big disappointment. Too many flaws; so many that I had to check each one by hand. Most likely a faulty batch from the manufacturer. Of course, the return period has long since expired, so I just have to make a note to avoid this brand in the future. I would like to discuss this with the seller, but it seemed like the only way out.

Not suitable as audio CD

Not suitable for audio purposes. I recorded five of these discs and then tried playing one of them on a Panasonic player. Then I tried playing other discs. The player does not even rotate discs and immediately declares "NO DISC". I then burned two discs from the same CUE sheet - one of those Verbatim discs and a Philips disc were made by my CMC Magnetics. The Philips disc plays great. The results were duplicated on a Memorex CD player. A third player, Sony, was tried and both discs played on…

Not the same for accessories and consumables

Have been buying them for years, bought the last batch, primer is thicker, different. I can burn one in ten. I bought and installed a new burner for my MacPro. I can still only burn one in ten. I can record three out of ten on my computer. The photo shows the difference, new on the left, old on the right. It used to be good if not better, now it sucks.

SILVER SHINE! 3D EFFECT! One that draws attention! PROFESSIONAL LOOK!

If you create CDs in your home studio, DataLifePlus is for you. "Unlocks" the audio when playing your recordings. Crystal clear! Archives your recordings, etc. The Silver Printable CD gives your CDs a lustrous and professional 3D look. A printable hub or not depends on your taste. I've burned a few "regular" Vebatim CDs and they sounded "good", but the Verbatim Datalifeplus seems to bring the sound to life. Maybe it's my imagination, but if so, I still think they sound the best. White or…

lit normally with my plexor. ** read to the end

later so here it is. I've already recorded 4 discs and they all came out with no problems. but i use desktop plextor drive. I think this has a lot to do with the many problems people have with laptop burners. I found out after burning laptops and I even bought my mom a USB DVD burner and it was a pioneer! but this thing spat out nothing but coasters. the same drives, the same media on my desktop drive (and I was using an ASUS drive then, not the Plexor I have now), and they burned just fine. I…
