🎀 Purple Advent Wreath with Ribbon Review

I'm sorry I was so disappointed with the poor quality of this wreath that I sent it back. All materials from greenery to ribbons, from candlesticks to frames are very cheap and tasteless. Candlesticks are too big for the candle to fit snugly, and regular-length candles unbalance (wobble) the wreath. It definitely didn't meet my needs or expectations and is quite expensive for the quality.

So I bought it along with candles from the same company. Your candles generally don't fit well in wreath holders. I ended up melting the bottom of the candle and cooling it while holding the candle upright in the holder so it actually stays upright and doesn't flop. After that it works fine. This wreath is beautiful, not too big and not too small. The brackets are cheap plastic, but that's ok. Overall it works well and is well designed.

I wish I had taken a picture when all the candles were lit for our service. For the price it's better than live pine which you have to worry about drying out and burning (trust me). It is well made for its brief purpose and looked very pretty by candlelight. The only drawback is the lack of a central Christ candlestick. I happened to have a candle holder that worked and although this candle was shorter than the others, all the others were burning so badly that when we lit them they were taller.

It's not big or flashy. It's simple and beautiful. But if you're a practicing Catholic, you know that Advent isn't just about material things. This is a time of preparation for our Lord. However, I find it a bit expensive. But it came with no problems. I'm waiting for candles on batteries, so they are white. I like to light candles on Sundays and have decided to change them every week. I recommend this product. Maybe next year I'll pick up the energy and make a big tablecloth for my dinner…
