This is the third 10.6 ounce container of Vetoquinol Epakitin I have purchased from Revain! The first one I bought from my vet for $55 was about 1/3 smaller! Realizing how great it works, I started looking for Revain. My elderly cat has kidney failure and we were told he wouldn't make it through the night. Tests showed he had high phosphate levels and when I refused to give up they suggested that as an option. I add it to his cat wet food at least once a day and it makes a huge difference. If I

An important part of my cat's treatment plan.

My cat Jazz was diagnosed with kidney failure a year and three months ago. The vet immediately prescribed him Epakitin, which helped a lot. He refuses to eat kd foods so using a phosphorus binder is very important. It also accepts aluminum hydroxide powder, which is another phosphorus binder. The vet said he uses both because they each have different benefits. He gets daily IV procedures and also takes Azodil. Epakitin works, his phosphate level has steadily decreased since he started taking…

Miracle Saver with Azodil

My dog has been diagnosed with high urea levels. I went on FB and joined two groups for owners of dogs with kidney disease. Both groups recommended this along with Azodil. Azodil alone did little, but the combination of the two greatly improved my dog's health. He's acting more normal. He looked like he was on the brink of death 2 weeks ago. I switched his food to Trippett Green Tripe canned dog food and used both of these medications and my dog made a full recovery no thanks to my vet! He's…

If your cat has early stage kidney failure read this...

THIS MAY BE SUITABLE FOR YOUR CAT just as it might be suitable for my cat. In April 2018 my then 14 year old cat had a blood test done on her senior profile. The vet said her blood tests showed her kidneys could be in the early stages of kidney failure and recommended that I put her on a specially formulated low phosphorus formula. I didn't like this idea for two reasons. First I tried it and she didn't want to eat it. The second reason is that I believe in the holistic, grain-free kibble that…

My old lady is happy again. To update!

I wanted to continue because it gave my dog Annie a year of quality of life. Last year our vet told me that Annie's kidney function was too weak for effective treatment. We only treated her symptoms; Heartburn, vomiting, somewhat stuffy nose. Basically, we were trying to make her comfortable while she died. I did a little research and found epakitin. With the ability to transfer the protein load of dog food to the gut instead of through the kidneys, Annie lived on and was a lot less lethargic…
