This image is misleading. The tree is wrapped in a brown "vine". I've certainly never seen anything so strange in the picture. It creeps up from the bottom in a strange way and tears open in places. I assume you want it to look rustic? I cut it off right away. It was dirty and damaged. I'm really surprised that anyone can give this tree anything other than 4 or 5 stars. unless you read the detailed description first. I bought 3ft and 4ft for my tiny loft house and am very happy with it. They're rustic, realistic-looking, woody, and a bit whimsical. This is what I wanted, a thin artificial tree with branches that start higher. I have the 6ft version without the backlight. The branches start at a height of 26 inches from the ground. The good parts are its attractive, narrow width that doesn't take up much space. The branches aren't quite close together so I can see more of the decorations instead of just lying outside the tree.
