Easy to install, configure and update

Installation was pretty easy as was setup. The charger definitely needs external monitoring. I bought a Bluetooth dongle which I found really necessary for system monitoring (with my iPhone). I have both the MPPT charger and key module installed in the engine room (at home next to the battery) and I can control the system on my iPhone from the boat's helm station which is about 20ft from the key. It's winter in New York and we've had to be in the sun all day since the installation. I want the…

Ideal for a sailing boat. Small, discontinued and forgotten.

This is the smallest MPPT I could find and fits perfectly in the infirmary of my 34ft sailboat which has a 440Ah battery. Hookups were easy, instructions are clear. I was afraid I'd miss the built-in control panel that other devices have, but this thing is so thoughtful and thoughtful that there's just no need for it. Set and forget! The thing just works. no problems with shore power or motor generator running through the Xantrec Freedom 10 charger/inverter (this unit will detect them and stay…

A good product. My seller is a gem and has great customer support.

I bought this charge controller for a solar van with LiFePO4 batteries. Glad to find a charge controller that will allow you to select the appropriate values for this type of battery. I am using a Victron Bluetooth dongle on my Android phone to interact with this charge controller. The instructions are written in several languages and are quite clear. It leaves you guessing about the correct behavior and useless for troubleshooting. Bay Marine Supply salesman helped me solve my problem…

Unreliable! for generators and portable power supplies

It took a while to get everything connected and "working" as the UPS broke 2 panels and I had to send it back and I had to buy an extra bluetooth module, to order it to communicate with him at all. Other cheaper models have Bluetooth built in, but it costs an additional $49, which is actually a rip off for a module that only costs a few bucks! It was a bit difficult to get the bluetooth to work, he didn't want it at first. to connect but when it started working it needed a security code which…

Excellent MPPT controller. I have used slightly cheaper Trace MPPT controllers in the past and they are much more flexible. The key to this charge controller is to make sure you stay within both total voltage and current limits when wiring your panels. My routing was limited by the 12/24 volt panel configuration. This Victron controller allows up to 100V idle from your array and up to 440W for a 12V battery and 880W for a 24V battery. Ultimately I will be connecting two chains of four 12V 100W…
