Great hiking shoes: Shoes

This is a good hiking shoe for winter as it has a leather upper. A lot of hiking shoes now have a mesh upper so finding a Vionic that works in my rainy climate is great. Vionic products are very convenient for me.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Something else

Great support, good for shoes

I am recovering from an ankle fracture and need a shoe for support. My foot was swollen and the tied shoes were not good. Velcro straps work well as they can be adjusted. Not the most stylish shoes but they do what I intended.

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Exchange available

MY FEET DON'T LIKE

They felt pretty good, that is, until they started chafing their toes. The toe is narrow. I wore them for a while but then they became very uncomfortable. Not like my old Vionics, which I still wear, albeit with different inserts. Why, oh why do manufacturers make products we like and then change them?

Pros
  • Full set
Cons
  • Some problems

Hope these are the last. on a walk

Good fit. For the first time with Velcro. Usually you will get the style with lacing. It's hard to come by and the price has gone up too much too fast. Now the question is quality. The last two pairs of laces didn't last long before falling apart. Very disappointed. Tried other brands, my wife's feet didn't like others. Let's get back to Vionic. Hope these are the last.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • embarrassed

Ideal for supporting the spine.

April 19, 2021 I had a second spinal surgery L4,L5,S1,S2. With many caveats, this is the perfect support shoe. Not too heavy and good grip on all paths. And of course Velcro is an added bonus as opposed to tying shoelaces. Absolutely one of the best investments in my healing.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • annoying

I agree - the arch is inappropriate.

I own a lot of Vionic slippers just for the good arch support, so I find it odd that for a shoe that's built for movement, Vionic put it more on the inside of the top of the heel. This was mentioned in the previous comment but I didn't believe them. LOL I love these shoes and keep them to myself hoping I can get used to the feeling. If I can't, I'll just have to buy something else.

Pros
  • Finished
Cons
  • Expensive

I'm glad I took the risk

Bought for a cousin who had a stroke. The therapist asked for a larger size than she wears, a wide one, to put on the orthosis. Cousin hates shoes, prefers sandals but likes to wear them. Says they are comfortable. Couldn't find the standard velcro shoe that has been around for years. I took a chance on these (brand new, no reviews) when two different podiatrists told me the Vionic brand are great shoes. As long as they're good

Pros
  • Everything is great!
Cons
  • Not everything fits

DO NOT BUY Black Velcro Model

There's something wrong with this shoe. I've bought numerous pairs of white tip Vionics over the years with no problems other than the fact that they wear out quicker than they used to. This pair with black velcro, oh my god, however, hurt my knees and hips and left me limping around the house. At the first sign of a problem, I changed the insoles. because the arch seemed to be in the wrong place. But that wasn't enough. I got worse every day. I finally switched to my hiking boots. It didn't…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Requires an electrical outlet
