This item broke after "very basic" use. The very first time I used them, same day they were delivered. I then tried to return them "the day after they arrived" and was told "this item is non-refundable". the day after their arrival! I recommend buying something else, I just wasted $12.

I try not to order anything from Revain unless it's Prime so I'm protected. They were Prime and Revain's Choice. They were useless for the C-clip which I had to remove so I ordered another pair and went to return them. NON RETURNABLE. From now on, I'll check the fine print on Revain before making a purchase.

Too much play in the tips. I do not recommend this tool and I advise you to buy it without any investment. This product has a "return policy". With the small B&S starter I could not remove the locking ring. Finally, I used two screwdrivers to get the job done. Revain refunded my money after explaining the poor quality of the tools.

If you work with a diesel engine, heavy truck or other large equipment these are not for you. If you need a good snap ring pliers for lawn equipment, simple car repairs and home projects, this is a good tool. I used this product to remove retaining rings on a Honda self propelled powertrain. It was a bit difficult at first to disconnect the included adapter and get the tool working properly as the pin came loose a few times, but once properly installed it worked well. I have used/tried to use these circlip pliers on my motorcycle. The pliers themselves are unstable when trying to remove the locking rings on my control levers and master cylinders. The pins do not grip well or are not seated in the retaining rings. The main issue is the fit of the pin lock and spring system at the directional pivot. Quick change bits/tips are more comfortable than some other snap ring pliers. This Irwin tool is for everyday use / or maybe for weekend warriors. BUT = it must be said that this is not a precision instrument. Those who want a reliable result will most likely like the Channel Lock tool or a tool of similar quality. I tried to use these to disassemble my stem which is 4th generation pliers for snap rings. I saw good reviews of these pliers, knew the Stanley name and thought they were high quality, but I was hugely mistaken. The mechanism that locks the interchangeable heads onto the pliers is very weak and spring loaded.
