Good Card Computer Components

So far so good, this card has increased the transfer speed of my USB devices to a really fast pace, I would recommend it to anyone who wants to spend less money and get more speed.

Does not work with USB port cards

Installation was easy. However, some of my USB devices were turning on and off frequently. It's extremely difficult to type when your keyboard stops working every few seconds. Several of my USB devices stopped working while connected to this card. The mouse and USB connector broke shortly after connecting. I can't prove that this card damaged my other hardware, but I don't think it was an accident.

Inexpensive option for adding new USB ports if another USB port fails

A few days ago I installed a VisionTek 4-port USB Express expansion card and it's been working fine so far. The item was relatively easy to assemble. The Molex to SATA power adapter cable is included with the card and connects to the computer's power supply. (Luckily my power supply had the necessary plug-ins to connect the cable). I don't know why but all my original USB ports stopped working and with this new card I was able to add 4 new USB ports. Now I can connect devices like a printer and

Good price. Easy installation.

I replaced my VisionTek 2-Port USB Expansion Card which was still working with this VisionTek 4-Port USB Expansion Card. Connects to the motherboard of my Dell Inspiron 3655 home PC. The included power cord is not required. Your computer may be different and you may need to use the cable that came with it. Also included was a CD with drivers which I didn't need as Microsoft found the drivers and it worked great.

Check the PCI-e version

There are several manufacturers of this type of card. Most of them have PCI-e (version 2.0) as a system requirement. I think there was one that might work with version 1.0a. This card lists "every" PCI-e slot so I thought I might be lucky with my 5 year old Dell XPS 630i with PCI-e (version 1.0). Not correct. That does not work. Blocks Windows 7 Professional 64 on the login screen. Without keyboard (PS2); without mouse (USB). I'll hold on to the map. Might meet someone who can use it. I've read
