Not compatible with Ascent

The steel jar is NOT compatible with all major blenders. More specifically, it is not compatible with Ascent series blenders designed for the international market. This is not the US or Canada. Vitamix aims to make this clear.

Pros
  • models outside of US/Canada. Impressive
Cons
  • Not sure

Not impressed b/c 1 Deal Killer

We buy stainless steel to avoid the dangers of plastic toxins. So they put an unknown substance in the container to mark the levels. How toxic is this stuff? Previous reviewers have already shared photos of it coming loose. CANCELS, in my food?

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Minor issues

It's finally here and it's as good as it gets. There is no more plastic in my smoothies. Thank you Vitamix for finally delivering a much needed container. Let's make a larger container and also a stainless steel grain/dry food container.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • I don't have much to complain about, it's just great

Sturdy and well made

That was the main reason I chose the Vitamix over another high performance blender. I have the option to upgrade to a stainless steel jug that allows me to mix hot ingredients without worrying about plastic effects over time. (I love hot cocoa cashew milk or hot soy milk in the morning) And no more messing up plastic containers with turmeric mix. It's durable, well made and looks like it'll be with me for years. Plus it looks great in my kitchen. So perfect :-)

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Quality

But well done. in the kitchen and dining room

This is well made, of high quality and made with attention to detail. However, a genius decided that the dimensions should be drawn inside the container. I bought it, like most, because I didn't like plastic in my food. This was made for an audience that is basically health conscious and then they go and paint the inside of the container! What you see in the photo is after 3 weeks of use. Now I have to decide whether to just swallow their color or go back to plastic. upset.

Pros
  • Robust design
Cons
  • Useless functions

Plastic and paint for $200? - plus only 48 ounces?

I read other people's reviews AFTER I got it because I couldn't believe how small it was. Then I saw all the Chinese color Q&A inside. Ouch! Thank you Vitamix. Came back stuck with her damn plastic container. This company is the worst. Just make a glass and let us sign a liability waiver or something if you're worried about lawsuits. Or make a stainless steel model with no paint inside, two sizes smaller and no flimsy plastic lid for $200! For the love of God.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Expensive

I've waited YEARS for the release of Vitamix!

I LOVE this! Have used it several times so far and it works great. Will post updates after I use it more with pictures. The first thing I made was a frozen fruit yogurt smoothie and it came out quick and was really smooth. On the transparent lid it's nice to see how it mixes. Easy to clean by mixing hot water and dish soap. I hope that one day they will release 64 ounce and 32 ounce stainless steel containers. I bought a used 5200 base off ebay so my entire unit is a lot cheaper than buying a…
